Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Mac Draft is a fantasy football trade and draft tool. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Your Sleeper username, when you enter it to connect a league or use Ask Mac. We use it to load your public Sleeper league data and to enforce a daily usage limit. We do not ask for your Sleeper password and cannot access your Sleeper account.
- Local data in your browser. Your settings, saved context, mock-draft history, and connected-league details are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not uploaded to us except as needed to answer a request you make.
- Basic request data. Like most websites, our host records standard technical information (IP address, browser type, timestamps) to operate the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
- A device identifier. We store a random identifier in your browser to apply free usage limits per device. It is not tied to your name and is not used for advertising.
- An account key. Your browser generates one random key on your first visit and keeps it in local storage. Because Mac Draft has no passwords, this key is what proves a request is yours: it owns the trades you publish, your comments, your votes and your subscription. We store only a one-way hash of it, never the key itself, so our records cannot be used to act as you. It is not tied to your name and is not used for advertising.
- Anything you publish to the community. Trades you post, comments, forum topics and replies, trade-block listings and votes are stored on our servers and are public. Published trades never show your username; comments and forum posts show the name you chose. Treat anything you publish as permanent and visible to everyone.
What we do NOT collect
- No passwords, payment information, or government identifiers.
- No selling or renting of your data to anyone, ever.
- No advertising trackers or ad-network cookies.
How your data is used
- To load and analyze your public fantasy league information at your request.
- To power Ask Mac. Your questions and the relevant league context are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Your Sleeper username is used to apply a per-user daily message limit.
- To keep the service running: caching, error monitoring, and preventing abuse.
Third-party services
To provide fantasy data and features, Mac Draft reads publicly available information from services including Sleeper, FantasyCalc, RotoWire, ESPN, and Yahoo, and uses Anthropic to power Ask Mac. Mac Draft is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Data is provided for informational and entertainment purposes and may be inaccurate or out of date.
Yahoo Fantasy connection
If you sign in with Yahoo, Mac Draft uses read-only access to the Yahoo Fantasy API to import the league, team, and roster data for your own authenticated account, so you can analyze your own roster. We handle that data narrowly:
- It is used only to display and analyze your own roster within Mac Draft, for the authenticated user.
- It is fetched live and is not stored, cached, or indexed on our servers.
- It is never used to train, ground, or improve any AI model, and is not sold, shared, or used to build any dataset.
- Any Ask Mac conversation that references imported roster data is kept in your browser and is automatically deleted within 30 days.
- You can disconnect at any time; connecting Yahoo is free and is never required to be a paying subscriber.
Fantasy data provided by Yahoo Fantasy.
Your choices
- You can use most of Mac Draft without signing in. A Sleeper username is only needed to connect a league or use Ask Mac.
- You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site. Note that this also erases your account key, which is what links you to anything you have published and to a Pro subscription.
- To ask a data question, contact us at the address below.
Your rights over your data
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following, and we will act on it within 30 days at no charge:
- See it. Get a copy of what we hold that is connected to you.
- Correct it. Have anything inaccurate fixed.
- Delete it. Have your published trades, comments, forum posts, listings and votes removed, along with the records tied to your account key.
- Take it with you. Receive your data in a machine-readable file.
- Object. Tell us to stop a particular use of your data.
We do not sell personal information and never have, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. If you are in the EU, the UK or California, these rights are yours by law (GDPR and CCPA); we extend them to everyone regardless. To exercise any of them, write to the address below and tell us which you want. Because there are no passwords, we may ask you to prove the request comes from the same browser that holds the account key.
Children
Mac Draft is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
